The project will support Spitak and Vayq Municipalities in developing and testing replicable and efficient model(s) of energy savings through use of efficient measures and renewable sources in residential and public buildings, incorporated with their Sustainable Energy Action Plans aligned with the Covenant of Mayors requirements.

The Caucasus Transmission Network Project (Stage 1) aims to provide a reliable, flexible and mutually profitable cross-border energy exchange within the South Caucasus by connecting the Armenian and the Georgian power grids. The project serves the regional integration of energy systems in the South Caucasus as well as with Iran and Russia. It addresses the Armenia's need for increasing its energy security.

The E5P is a multi-donor fund encouraging municipal investments in energy efficiency and environmental projects in the Eastern Partnership region.

This project supports the improvement of the business and investment climate for Small and Medium size Enterprises (SMEs) in Armenia.

The project provides support and advice to the Ministry of International Economic Integration and Reforms (in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance) and the EU and its partners (WB, ADB, EBRD, KFW, EIB, IMF) in establishing policy dialogue, coordination and monitoring mechanism in key infrastructure sector projects (targeted sectors Transport, energy and Water).

EU partnership with the IOC has been effective for over 30 years. The EU-IOC cooperation spans over various thematics including environment, biodiversity, climate change, small island developing states (SIDS), maritime security and fisheries. Under the 10th European Development Fund (from 2007), the IOC is implementing programmes for a total amount of 107 million euros.

The EU and French overseas department Mayotte share close cooperation ties. With the change in status of Mayotte into an outermost region of the European Union in 2014, these ties have been further reinforced.

The project contributes to the development of the civil society’s capacity to promote functioning rule of law and administrative justice in Armenia.
