20. januar deltok ambassadør Helen Campbell på Norges Rederiforbunds frokostseminar "EU i krise? Konsekvenser for næringslivet," sammen med EØS- og EU-minister Elisabeth Aspaker, Tysklands ambassadør Axel Berg, og administrerende direktør i rederiforbundet, Sturla Henriksen. Ambassadøren orienterte om utfordringene med flyktningkrisen, EUs respons, og planene for 2016.

Statement by the High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini on the announcement of members of new Libyan unity government 
The announcement of the agreement on the Ministerial posts in the Government of National Accord by the Presidency Council is an important decision. This result, under the leadership of designated Prime Minister Serraj, is an essential step in the implementation of the Libya Political Agreement.

High Representative Federica Mogherini today welcomed the announcement of the agreement on the Ministerial posts in the Government of National Accord by the Libyan Presidency Council as “an important decision. This result, under the leadership of designated Prime Minister Serraj, is an essential step in the implementation of the Libya Political Agreement”.

 

High Representative Federica Mogherini on Tuesday reiterated her confidence in the Havana peace process negotiations and called for a focus on implementation. She emphasised that the EU will be with Colombia all the way, via the EU Trust Fund.

 

On Tuesday and Wednesday, High Representative Federica Mogherini addresses the first plenary session of the European Parliament of 2016 on a number of topical issues.

On Tuesday evening, she speaks about the Colombian Peace Process. She then moves on to a debate on the continuing grave situation in Syria, before discussing with MEPs the recent tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
