The European Union Delegation to Australia has today sponsored the "Racism. It Stops With Me Award" at the Australian Human Rights Commission's Human Rights Awards held in Sydney.

MANILA -- Cine Europa, the longest and largest film festival in the country, is back in Manila following its successful run throughout the country. In Palawan, Cine Europa was held with a green twist as it was the first time that the festival had a biking tour component called "Padyak sa Kalikasan" which mobilised 300 bikers including Ambassadors from Europe and local government officials from Palawan and biker enthusiasts.

The Government of Jamaica and the European Union have signed a Cooperation Agreement valued at 24,000,000 Euros or just over J$ 3 billion to improve access to justice and the quality of justice services provided to Jamaicans. The multi-billion dollar injection from the European Union which is in the form of a grant represents the single largest budgetary commitment to justice reform in Jamaica or anywhere else in the world where the EU provides support.

The European Investment Bank signed three loan agreements with Georgia's Ministry of Finance: EUR 250m to finance new construction and upgrading of priority roads, EUR 100m for the rehabilitation and upgrading of municipal infrastructure and a EUR 100m intermediated loan to implement the projects of SMEs and midcap companies in the horticulture and wine sectors. The loans are covered by the European Union's comprehensive guarantee.
