The project will support the Egyptian public administrations in upgrading their legislative and institutional frameworks through the approximation to the EU legislations and best practices (acquis communautaire)

The main objective of EPAP III is to set a framework for encouraging cleaner production uptake in Egypt by promoting technologies achieving significant pollution abatement in the industry.

The project aims at improving the living conditions of the poor urban population living in nine informal areas of the Greater Cairo Region (GCR).

The project contributes to poverty reduction and socio-economic development of the rural poor through increased land productivity, employment creation and income generation.

يتولى مكتب التعاون الإيطالي تنفيذ برنامج الاتحاد الأوروبي المشترك للتنمية الريفية في محافظات مطروح، والفيوم، والمنيا. وقد تم تمويله بالكامل من قبل الاتحاد الأوروبي بمنحة قدرها 21.8 مليون يورو خلال الفترة من ديسمبر2014 حتى أكتوبر 2019. وفي الوقت نفسه، يقدم مكتب التعاون الإيطالي 11 مليون يورو في نفس المنطقة لصالح الميكنة الزراعية والتنمية الاجتماعية والاقتصادية.


The European Union (EU) Joint Rural Development Programme (JRDP) is a programme implemented by the Italian Cooperation Office in the Governorates of Matruh, Fayoum and Minia. It is fully funded by the EU with a grant of € 21.8 million over the period December 2014 - October 2019. In parallel, the Italian Cooperation Office is providing €11 million in the same area for agricultural mechanisation and socio-economic development.


A project funded by the European Union (EU) and UNICEF five-year (2016-2020), to which the EU brought a grant of €30 million.
