The European Union (EU) and its Member States, in collaboration with Indonesian institutions for research and innovation, are convening the European Research Days (ERD) Indonesia 2021 with the theme ‘Europe-Indonesia: Partners in Research and Innovation’.

Headed by Ovidiu Mic, Head of Cooperation, an EU mission met Mr. Abdul Rehman Buzdar, Secretary Finance, Government of Balochistan. The meeting was organised by EU funded project, “Public Financial Management phase Two (PFM II) “.

The Sixth Regional Forum of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) gathered Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Euro-Mediterranean region on 29 November 2021 in Barcelona under the Co-Presidency of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the European Union to take stock of progress achieved and to guide further work ahead.

An EU mission visited Khuzdar district of Balochistan during 25-26 November 2021.  Among others, one purpose of the visit was to participate in the one day training on, “Good  Agriculture Practices (GAP) ” organised for framers of the district Khuzdar area.

The EU continues to support partners such as WFP in order to provide life-saving food assistance to the most vulnerable people suffering the effects of climate shocks and the COVID-19 pandemic.

On 15 November, we co-hosted together with the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the EU an event on “Water and International Humanitarian Law”. Speakers from ICRC, Geneva Call, academia and EU headquarters approached the obligation to protect water and water resources during armed conflicts from the perspective of International Humanitarian Law. This event was part of a broader engagement with the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the EU on Water, followed by a higher-level event on ‘water and displacement’ on 6 December.
