L'Indonésie prévoyant l'exécution de personnes condamnées, dont le nombre pourrait aller jusqu'à quatorze, l'Union européenne appelle ce pays à suspendre toutes les exécutions et à envisager de rejoindre l'importante communauté des plus de 140 États qui ont aboli totalement la peine de mort ou ont adopté un moratoire en la matière.


In view of the planned execution of up to 14 convicts in Indonesia, the European Union calls on the country to halt all executions and to consider joining the wide community of over 140 states that have abolished the death penalty entirely or have adopted a moratorium.

Terkait rencana eksekusi hukuman mati terhadap 14 narapidana di Indonesia, Uni Eropa menyerukan kepada Pemerintah Indonesia untuk tidak meneruskan pelaksanaan eksekusi hukuman mati dan agar mempertimbangkan untuk bergabung dengan komunitas luas yang terdiri lebih dari 140 negara yang telah menerapkan penghapusan praktek hukuman mati secara menyeluruh atau menerapkan moratorium terhadap praktek hukuman mati.

Long-term observers attend rallies, hold meetings with stakeholders

EU long-term observers are collecting information about the electoral process in all ten provinces of Zambia. The observers were deployed from Lusaka on 15 July, and since then they have been actively meeting local stakeholders, observing political rallies, and looking at all aspects of the electoral process.

Today the Parliament of the Republic of Albania adopted unanimously constitutional amendments which constitute provisions for a deep and comprehensive judicial reform.
