I have been following with the utmost personal attention the case of Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko since the very beginning. This is no longer just a judicial or political case: now it's a matter of human compassion. Her health condition is deteriorating rapidly and we all fear terrible consequences.
Yesterday and today terror attacks took place in Tel Aviv, Petah Tikvah and Jerusalem. The EU extends its condolences to the family of the victim and wishes a speedy recovery to those injured.
Once again, hatred and violence have taken innocent lives. Once again, we call on all parties to work together and do their utmost to immediately calm down the situation and prevent further escalation.

Wednesday 9 March sees EU High Representative Federica Mogherini's first official visit to Argentina. She began her visit by laying a wreath at the monument of General San Martin with Argentine Foreign Minister Susana Malcorra. Later she held talks with President Mauricio Macri, Susana Malcorra as well as other members of the Argentine government. The purpose of her meeting with President Macri was to inject more energy into the EU-Argentine relationship.
