In the framework of their regular exchanges on counter terrorism, Turkey and the European Union held a meeting on counter terrorism cooperation in Ankara on 23 June 2015. Turkey and the EU are already close partners in the fight against terrorism, and they recognise the importance of closer coordination and cooperation in this field. Terrorism poses a direct threat to our countries and our people.


Dans le cadre de leurs échanges réguliers dans le domaine de la lutte contre le terrorisme, la Turquie et l'Union européenne ont tenu, le 23 juin 2015 à Ankara, une réunion sur la coopération en matière de lutte antiterroriste. La Turquie et l'UE sont déjà des partenaires proches dans la lutte contre le terrorisme et elles sont conscientes de l'importance que revêtent une coordination et une coopération plus étroites dans ce domaine.


EU-Georgia Associaation Agreement Food Safety Requirements

The European Union Delegation, the Heads of Mission of France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, The United Kingdom and the Heads of Mission of Canada, Norway, Switzerland and the United States issue the following statement in South Sudan:

"The Heads of Mission are deeply disturbed by the atrocities committed by government forces documented in the recent UNMISS report on the Escalation of Fighting in Greater Upper Nile, published on June 30th 2015.

The 23rd ASEAN-EU Senior Officials' Meeting was held on 2 July 2015 in Brussels. The Meeting was co-chaired by His Excellency Le Hoai Trung, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam and Mr Ugo Astuto, Acting Managing Director of the Asia-Pacific Department of the European External Action Service. 


La 23e réunion UE-ASEAN au niveau des hauts fonctionnaires s'est tenue le 2 juillet 2015 à Bruxelles. La réunion était coprésidée par Son Excellence Le Hoai Trung, vice-ministre des affaires étrangères de la République socialiste du Viêt Nam, et M. Ugo Astuto, directeur exécutif faisant fonction pour l'Asie et le Pacifique au sein du Service européen pour l'action extérieure.


The chief negotiators of the European Union and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan have today in Kabul initialled the Cooperation Agreement on Partnership and Development (CAPD), in the presence of President Ashraf Ghani. 
President Ghani, commending the work of the chief negotiators, underlined that the Agreement will mark a new phase of comprehensive cooperation and pave the way for a value-based partnership between the European Union and Afghanistan. 



The announcement that the United States and Cuba are to restore diplomatic relations and reopen Embassies is a truly historic milestone on the path towards full normalisation of relations between the countries.

It represents an encouraging signal for the international community, showing that relations between the two countries have entered a new phase through negotiations.
