La proposition législative, qui est actuellement examinée par le Parlement, traduit les recommandations formulées par la Commission de Venise et elle est pleinement conforme aux normes européennes. Il est essentiel que la proposition soit adoptée à la majorité requise des deux tiers .


Three months after the heinous killing of indigenous leader Berta Cáceres, another Human Right Defender who is a leader of LGBTI community in Honduras Mr. René Martinéz has been killed . 
It is essential that thorough investigations are conducted as soon as possible to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Urgent and decisive steps to protect human rights defenders in Honduras must be ensured so that impunity and violence come to an end.


EU relation with the International Organisations in Vienna

Starting May 30 to June 2, 2016, the European Union (EU) held training and outreach sessions with staff of the European Union Delegation to Botswana & SADC as well as local and regional partners focusing on a rights-based approach to development.

The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) came into being on 18 June 1981, when seven Eastern Caribbean countries signed a treaty agreeing to cooperate with each other and promote unity and solidarity among the Members. The Treaty became known as the Treaty of Basseterre, so named in honour of the capital city of St. Kitts and Nevis where it was signed.
