On Monday, 30 January 2017, the European Union (EU) and BRAC-Liberia held an inception workshop at Palm Spring Resort, Congo Town, Monrovia to launch the project ‘Supporting the poor and food and nutrition insecure to react to crises and strengthen resilience’.
The Kwame Nkrumah continental awards for 2016 was presented during the official opening of the 28th African Union Heads of State and Government Assembly in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 30 January 2017. The awards were presented by President Alpha Condé, new Chair of the African Union and Dr. Dlamini Zuma, Chairperson of the AU Commission. TheAward aims to encourage researchers contributing to the wellbeing and improved quality of life for the African citizens. The EU has sponsored the prestigious Kwame Nkrumah Scientific Awards since 2009.
Newly elected Members of the Parliament (MPs) of Georgia are attending a new induction programme to get ready for the implementation of their constitutional mandate. The third phase of the programme on January 23 – February 1 includes intensive two-day training for 80 MPs from parliamentary majority and minority.
