Journalists are invited to apply for the 2017 European Union-QANTAS Journalist Award.
Now in its 25th year the award is open to an Australian journalist with more than three years working experience in print or electronic media. They will need to satisfy the selection panel that he or she would benefit from a working visit to the European Union institutions and two to three Member States. While the subject of the project proposal is open to the journalist's particular interests, it must be based on European themes relevant to an Australian audience.
"Ensuring women's access to quality reproductive health and family planning services are critically important to prevent women's vulnerability and to achieve sustainable development, poverty alleviation and human development" says EU Ambassador Franz Jessen, Head of the EU Delegation to the Philippines in his message for the "Annual Dialogue on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights" at the Sulu Riviera Hotel in Quezon City on 28 March 2017.
The European Commission Director-General for International Cooperation and Development, Stefano Manservisi, will arrive in Fiji on 31 March to meet with the Attorney-General and Minister for Economy, Public Enterprises, Civil Service and Communications, the Honourable Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, and the Minister for Agriculture, Rural and Maritime Development and National Disaster Management, the Honourable Inia Seruiratu.
