With funding from the European Union (EU), the World Health Organization (WHO) in collaboration with the South Sudan Ministry of Health has trained over 50 laboratory experts on principles of COVID-19 infection prevention and control (IPC) measures in the laboratory.

It was prepared in the framework of EU project Uruguay Looks at Human Trafficking.

Summer time does not equal slow-time at the EU Delegation to Georgia. On the COVID-19 front, together with WHO, the EU delivered the largest cargo of personal protective gear to Georgia.

Applications will be accepted until 30 September 2020.


The European Union has this week released the final payment of EUR 6,450,000 (nearly SBD 60,000,000) to the Government of Solomon Islands as part of its partnership signed with the Government in 2014 to improve access to water and sanitation in rural areas, under the European Development Fund (10th EDF).
