On 16 and 17 December, Envoys of the Middle East Quartet met in Jerusalem and Ramallah with Israeli and Palestinian counterparts.

Over the two days, the Envoys from the EU, Russia, U.S., and UN met with officials from the Israeli Prime Minister's Office and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and officials from the Palestine Liberation Organization and Palestinian Authority to discuss current conditions on the ground and concrete actions to demonstrate their commitment to the two-state solution.


Les 16 et 17 décembre, les envoyés du Quatuor pour le Moyen-Orient ont rencontré leurs homologues israéliens et palestiniens à Jérusalem et à Ramallah.


La détermination et le courage du peuple centrafricain à se rendre aux urnes à l'occasion du référendum constitutionnel des 13 et 14 décembre 2015, après s'être massivement inscrit sur les listes électorales, doivent être soulignés. Par leur vote, les Centrafricains témoignent de leur volonté de tourner la page de la transition et de bâtir les fondations d'un avenir démocratique. 


The determination and courage of the people of the Central African Republic, who turned out to vote in the constitutional referendum held on 13 and 14 December 2015 having registered to do so in such large numbers, deserves special mention. By voting, the people of the Central African Republic have shown their determination to move on from the era of transition and pave the way for a democratic future.


The provisional agreement on victims-related issues unveiled yesterday in Havana brings Colombia one important step closer to peace.

Victims are now at the centre of a peace process. Together with truth and justice, the agreement includes the principles of reparation and non-repetition. These are essential to build a lasting peace in Colombia.

Nigeria is once again the target of violence. Over the last days, clashes in the northern city of Zaria have left more than 60 victims and many wounded. Our thoughts and condolences go to those who lost loved ones. 

We expect all local religious, political and community leaders to exercise restraint and respect human rights. We look forward to a thorough investigation by the Nigerian authorities of the incident to be urgently launched in order to identify those responsible and bring them to justice.  

Le Nigeria est de nouveau la cible d’actes de violence. Les affrontements observés ces derniers jours dans la ville de Zaria, dans le nord du pays, ont fait plus de 60 victimes et de nombreux blessés. Nos pensées et nos condoléances vont à celles et ceux qui ont perdu des êtres chers.
