On January 26, 2017, the EU Twinning Project, between Israel's Ministry of Environmental Protection (MoEP) and partners in three EU countries (Germany, Austria and the United Kingdom), organized a high-level site visit to the Nesher Ramle Cement Plant, with participation of the MoEP Director General, three ambassadors, professional departments of the MoEP and the Twinning team.

The Eritrean Ministry of Energy and Mines and SOLARCENTURY LTD (UK) signed a contract on 20 January 2017. This contract foresees the supply, installation and commissioning of Solar PV Generation System intended for the creation of a Mini Grids (2.25 MW) to two rural towns and surrounding villages in Eritrea and is a first step for a bigger project that will improve the livelihoods (increase income and access to social services: MDGs) of rural towns and villages not connected to the national grid.

The European Union to Hong Kong and Macao, the Consulates General of the EU Member States represented in Hong Kong and the Consulate General of Switzerland invite you to the 8th edition of the European Film Festival (EUFF). The Festival is organised in association with Broadway Cinematheque and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and showcases 16 critically acclaimed and award-winning films. The EUFF opens on 8 February with a FREE concert until 24 Feb. Films are screened at Broadway Cinematheque and AMC Pacific Place.
