Cabo Verde and the EU have seek to create a very constructive relationship for more than 35 years, based on significant and continuing development and cooperation. Today, Cabo Verde and the EU share the same values, such as democracy, respect for human rights and the rule of law, while promoting and defending these values worldwide. The very successful evolution of the relationship in these areas led to the creation of the EU-Cabo Verde Special Partnership in 2007.

The EU offers jobs to citizens in different ways, it also offers public contracts and provides funding in the form of grants to support projects and organisations.
