The European Union Delegation to Lao PDR together with Ministry of Education and Sports and Souphanouvong University organized a “Study in Europe” Seminar at Souphanouvong University for some 300 faculty members, lecturers and students.
Around 75 participants from the Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, the Federated States of Micronesia, Papua New Guinea, the Republic of Marshall Islands, Samoa, the Solomon Islands, Timor Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna, and Pitcairn, as well as from EU Delegations from across the Pacific Region, other donors and two Regional Organisations are attending a week-long (24-28 October) training course on Budget Support and the EU's "Blending" aid modality. The course is organised jointly by the Delegation of the European Union for the Pacific and the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat (PIFS) at the Novotel Hotel, Lami.

Ce 5è bureau de l’institution financière européenne en Afrique subsaharienne après ceux de Nairobi, Pretoria, Dakar et Addis-Abeba (Ethiopie) sera dirigé par l'Italien Andrea Pinna en tant que premier représentant-résident.
The EU-Jordan Subcommittee on Human Rights, Governance and Democracy held its 10th meeting in Amman today. The meeting was attended by representatives of Jordanian authorities, the EU and EU Member States.
