The EU Central Asia Invest Programme helps Central Asia’s small businesses become more competitive. In its current phase, the EU Central Asia Invest Programme covers seven projects, as well as a Policy Component. The programme was established in 2007, and is now running its fifth phase.

The Council today adopted conclusions setting out the EU's priorities at the 75th General Assembly of the United Nations (September 2020 – September 2021), under the theme "Championing multilateralism and a strong and effective UN that delivers for all".

On 9th July, the EU Chiefs of Defence (CHODs) met in Brussels for their first Military Committee meeting in person after the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Conference was opened by HR/VP Borrell's address and guidance where, among other things, he underlined the importance of the strategic autonomy and EU defence initiatives.
