On 4 and 5 March 2015, the EU and Cuba held their third round of negotiations concerning a future
bilateral Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement in Havana.

This week Ghana decided to sign and ratify the Stepping Stone Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) with the European Union.

In welcoming the decision, EU Ambassador to Ghana, William Hanna said: "This new agreement will provide a long-term predictable framework to help increase trade and investment. It is a win/win deal for Ghana and the European Union." 

He said Ghanaian exporting companies will preserve the duty-free preferences on the European market that today make them competitive. This means no quotas and no duties on all Ghanaian exports to the European market.

UN Women, the Delegation of the European Union (EU), and Embassies of EU Member States are launching today a Comic and Cartoon Competition on Gender Equality. The competition is part of the UN Women’s campaign “Planet 50-50 by 2030: Step It Up for Gender Equality”.

The conviction this week of Zhai Yanmin, Hu Shigen, Zhou Shifeng and Gou Hongguo, detained since mid-2015 as part of a wave of detentions of more than 300 lawyers and human rights defenders, runs contrary to China's stated commitment to strengthening the rule of law.

La condamnation, cette semaine, de Zhai Yanmin, Hu Shigen, Zhou Shifeng et Gou Hongguo, détenus depuis la mi-2015 à la suite d'une vague d'arrestations de plus de 300 avocats et défenseurs des droits de l’homme, va à l'encontre de l'attachement proclamé par la Chine au renforcement de l'État de droit.

Following the extensive discussions on 2 August, Minister for the Dialogue Edita Tahiri and Chief Negotiator Marko Djuric agreed today on the last remaining details to implement the 25 August 2015 Belgrade – Pristina Dialogue agreement on the Mitrovica Bridge. The EU facilitated this.

À la suite des discussions approfondies menées le 2 août dernier, Mme Edita Tahiri, ministre chargée du dialogue, et M. Marko Djuric, négociateur en chef, se sont entendus aujourd’hui sur les derniers détails de la mise en œuvre de l’accord concernant le pont de Mitrovica, conclu le 25 août 2015 dans le cadre du dialogue entre Belgrade et Pristina. L’UE a joué un rôle de médiation dans ce processus.
