Fiji comprises over 332 islands (110 permanently inhabited) and 500 islets.

Population – 860,000, 87% living on the 2 major islands, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.

Economy – Fiji has an abundance of forest, mineral and fish resources. The main sources of foreign exchange are tourism and sugar exports.

New EU rules on short-stay visas apply worldwide from 2 February 2020. They make it easier for legitimate travellers to apply for a visa to come to Europe, facilitating tourism, trade and business, while providing more resources for countering irregular migration risks and threats to internal security.

The EU offers jobs to citizens in different ways, it also offers public contracts and provides funding in the form of grants to support projects and organisations.

Since the creation of the so-called Schengen Zone travel between EU countries has become much easier.
