The European Union Head of Delegation to Uganda H.E Ambassador Kristian Schmidt hosted Ugandan and international dignitaries to a reception celebrating Europe Day in Uganda at his residence on Monday 9th May, 2016. Ugandan Foreign Affairs Minister Hon. Sam Kutesa was guest of honour and offered the Government of Uganda's thanks to the strong partnership between Uganda and the European Union.

EU assistance to Lebanon and Jordan in coping with millions of Syrian refugees, the crisis in Venezuela and the demolition of Palestinian buildings in the West Bank were the topics of the debates that Federica Mogherini took part in at the European parliament yesterday (10 May).

Today (11/5), H.E. Ir Wismana Adi Suryabrata, Deputy Minister for Development Funding Affairs and H.E. Vincent Guérend, EU Ambassador to Indonesia, jointly launched the Blue Book 2016, an annual report on EU-Indonesia development cooperation. The report demonstrates the success stories of the substantial development aid that the EU and its Member States provide to Indonesia.

Rwenzori Mountains is a biodiversity hotspot with a variety of landscapes and species providing essential ecosystem services such as carbon storage, forests and water catchment.

The project seeks to conserve biodiversity Rwenzori Mountains National Park and contibute to improving the livelihoods of local communities through sustainable financing mechanisms.

La Commission a mobilisé 200 million d'euros de l'allocation du 10ème FED pour des besoins imprévus afin soutenir les pays ACP à faire face à l'impact économique et social de la hausse du cours mondial des produits alimentaires. Dans ce cadre, un montant de 1 540 000 € a été alloué pour Djibouti.
