La Délégation de l’UE en République de Djibouti est responsable de la coopération nationale avec le gouvernement de Djibouti ainsi que la coopération dans la région de la Corne de l’Afrique avec l’IGAD (Autorité inter gouvernementale pour le développement). Cette coopération est financée par les Fonds européens de développement économique (FED) ainsi que le budget de l’UE.

With an estimated population of 820,000, the Republic of Djibouti is one of the smallest states in Africa. It currently enjoys a high growth rate but faces challenges with regard to sustainable and shared development. The European Union is the primary international donor there, acting exclusively through grant aid, with water, sanitation, resilience and food security being its chief priorities. Promoting peace and security in the region is also central to European involvement, as Djibouti is the EU's logistics base for its anti-piracy operation, Operation Atalanta.

Amid the ongoing outbreak of yellow fever in the Republic of Angola, the European Union will on 11 May deploy a team of medical experts to develop a better understanding of the outbreak, assess the implications for Europe, and examine further expert support to the country.

A Delegação da União Europeia em Angola comunica que, no contexto do surto de febre-amarela em curso na República de Angola, está a decorrer uma missão da União Europeia composta por uma equipa de peritos médicos com o objetivo de promover uma melhor compreensão do surto, avaliar as implicações para a Europa, e analisar a possibilidade de um maior apoio especializado para o país.
