Yesterday, the European Union Police Mission in Afghanistan conducted its closing ceremony in Kabul.  EUPOL Afghanistan worked for 9 years in Afghanistan to help the Afghan government to stablish a professional Afghan police force. "We have come together today to celebrate a decade of results and honour the people who made this possible. The European Union Police Mission in Afghanistan has been a key element in ensuring of comprehensive European effort in this country "Said the EU special Representative in Afghanistan Ambassador Franz Michael Mellbin.

Forty-six companies from 17 EU Member States attended the second EU Gateway business mission to Korea during 31 October – 4 November 2016.

Today marks a major milestone in the global fight to eliminate illegal logging and the trade in illegal timber products, as Indonesia begins issuing FLEGT (Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade) licences that attest to the legality of the timber products it exports to the EU.

The European Commission has approved eight new projects totalling more than €32 million under the Partnership Instrument (PI) to boost cooperation with partner countries in priority areas.
