Vienna (CNN) After arduous talks that spanned 20 months, negotiators have reached a landmark deal aimed at reining in Iran's nuclear program. The agreement, a focal point of U.S. President Barack Obama's foreign policy, appears set to reshape relations between Iran and the West, with its effects likely to ripple across the volatile Middle East.

 

Today's terrorist attack in Turkish town of Suruҫ targeting young volunteers from the Federation of Socialist Youth Associations (SGDF), who were gathered to go and help with the reconstruction of Kobane, aimed to further destabilise the region and communities living side by side. The attack adds to the pain and suffering of Syrian people fleeing violence and destruction, and of the Turkish people so generously engaged in helping them.

Ce processus devrait permettre de rendre justice aux victimes et de renforcer la Justice Pénale Internationale dans la lutte contre l'impunité au niveau global.

The trial of Hissène Habré, the former president of Chad, for crimes against humanity, war crimes and torture opened today before the Chambres africaines extraordinaires.

These proceedings should provide justice for the victims and strengthen international criminal justice in the global fight against impunity.

Today with the Foreign Ministers we started by celebrating good results of European and multilateral diplomacy, which shows us also the way for the many crises we still have to face and that still need to be solved.
