The new spike of violence and actions undermining the cessation of hostilities, notably the Syrian regime's most recent offensives near Aleppo and east of Damascus, put the peace talks at risk, as the UN Special Envoy de Mistura has said.
On 16 April 2016, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck the northern coast of Ecuador. The most powerful earthquake in the country since 1949 caused widespread devastation, killed at least 655 people and injured over 17 500. Almost 30 000 people are in need of emergency shelters.
The most affected areas are Pedernales, Muisne, San Vicente, Manta and Portoviejo, bordering Ecuador’s Pacific coast.
Eastern Partnership Panel on CSDP facilitates the participation by partner countries in the EU-led missions and operations. Currently three out of six EaP countries (Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine) participate in the EU-led missions in EUMAM RCA, EUTM Mali, and EUAM Ukraine or contribute to EU Battle Groups. As of today altogether 11 partner countries participate in 8 EU-led CSDP missions and operations.
St. Saviours Primary School, located in Hlotse, is one of the 40 schools in Lesotho targeted by the sustainable school sanitation systems project implemented by Technologies for Economic Development (TED).
