Launch of EU-funded programme: Innovating Jogja

A new programme called Innovating Jogja was launched in Yogyakarta on 19 July 2016, aiming to foster innovation activities through the engagement of a wide range of stakeholders. The initiative is supported by the Indonesian Ministry of Industry, BNI Bank, universities and business in Yogyakarta, as well as the European Union.

The verdict that a Bahraini court issued to dissolve Al Wefaq political society and to liquidate its assets is the last of a series of worrying developments in the country. The EU expects this judgment to be reversed.
