On March 2nd, the Ambassador of the European Union, Alessandro Mariani, and the Secretary to the Treasury, Fredson Yamba, signed a new financing agreement for 10 million euros (approximately 100 million kwacha) for support to the National Authorising Officer (NAO).

A group of experts of the International Energy Agency visited Bishkek on 1-2 March to present EU-funded regional programme EU4Energy.

The EU, through diplomatic outreach and concrete assistance, is assisting Libya's transition towards an inclusive and stable democracy and supporting UN mediation efforts in this regard. The EU underlines Libyan ownership of the political process and the importance of inclusiveness, notably through the participation of political and local actors, women and civil society.

The Delegation of the European Union has been monitoring the Rustavi 2 court case from the very start and we'll examine closely the verdict adopted by the Supreme Court as well as its consequences. At the same time, we keep to our long-standing practice of not commenting on individual court decisions.

For years, the European Union has been working with the Georgian authorities to implement the reform of the judiciary, with a focus on the independence, transparency and quality of judicial procedures, indispensable for upholding the rule of law.
