On 16 - 17 November 2017, EU Ambassador to Swaziland, Esmeralda Hernandez Aragones, visited the sugarbelt in the east and north of Swaziland to familiarize hereself with the EU-funded projects in the sugar sector.
The 7th EU-Indonesia Business Dialogue (EIBD) was held in Jakarta on Tuesday, 28 November 2017. In his address at the event, EU Ambassador to Indonesia, H.E. Vincent Guérend, highlighted one particular aspect of the EU-Indonesia economic relationship: exports of Indonesian Crude Palm Oil (CPO) to the EU.

The project aims to promote institutionalization of the cooperation between active civil society organisations and the state authorities in the area of human dimension and legislative process through the activity of the Working Group (WG) and sub-groups of the Consultative and Advisory Body “The Dialogue Platform on Human Dimension” (CAB DHD).
The project geared towards building capacity of civil society actors, including human rights defenders, activists, lawyers, Public Councils and media representatives to hold the duty bearers accountable for implementing the rights to freedom of expression, peaceful assembly and association (Specific Objective 1). At the same time it will foster dialogue between civil society and the executive, judiciary and legislative, leading to the observance and enforcement of applicable international human rights norms and standards in law and practice (Specific Objective 2).
