On 16 January, the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM) hosted a round-table with the General Prosecutor’s Office (GPO) of Ukraine on ‘Electronic systems in activity of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine: challenges and prospects of implementation’.

In mid-January EUPOL COPPS Mission concluded a three-day training for Palestinian police officers and prosecutors to enhance their capabilities when interviewing children. The training for 16 officers from the administration of Family Protection Unit and five prosecutors was conducted in Jericho and Hebron. The Mission advisers and two Norwegian training experts delivered the training which tackled many issues including preventing and investigating cases involving crimes against children and crimes perpetrated through the use of technology, such as mobiles or computers.

Dans le cadre du Programme d'Appui à la décentralisation et aux investissements communaux (PADIC) un dernier lot de matériel a été remis en  septembre dernier aux bénéficiaires du projet, composé de matériel roulant (36 motos) ainsi que de matériel informatique et bureautique, d'une valeur de 117 millions FCFA (17 6826 EUR). Ce projet, financé par l’Union européenne à hauteur de 12,5 millions EUR (8,2 milliards FCFA), a permis de renforcer les capacités des collectivités territoriales notamment en termes de maîtrise d'ouvrages.

On 27 February, a ceremony in Smarhon marked the completion of AM-BEL, a 3-year project to support the Republic of Belarus in addressing irregular migration and promoting human rights of vulnerable migrants.

27 студзеня ў г. Смаргонь адбылася ўрачыстая цырымонія з нагоды закрыцця праекта ЕС/ПРААН "Падтрымка Рэспублікі Беларусь у вырашэнні праблем нерэгулярнай міграцыі і абароны правоў чалавека ўразлівых груп мігрантаў".

27 января в Сморгони завершился проект ЕС/ПРООН «Поддержка Республики Беларусь в решении проблем нерегулярной миграции и защиты прав человека уязвимых групп мигрантов».

 

 

Plus de 160.000 enfants en situation de Malnutrition Aigüe Sévère bénéficieront d’un traitement médical au Burkina Faso, grâce au soutien financier du département humanitaire de l’Union Européenne (ECHO), aux programmes de l’agence UNICEF dans le pays. Cette assistance a permis de couvrir le traitement et les médicaments de 99% des cas de Malnutrition Aigüe Sévère (MAS) constatés en 2016.
