The action aims to deter and prevent, and upgrade responses and defences to incidents of human rights violations, by improving stakeholder collaboration, supporting and broadening networks of human rights defenders, monitoring the human rights situation, engaging in public advocacy and lobbying, providing sanctuary and support to victims, and engaging in legal advocacy.

Enhancement of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Centres of Excellence (CBRN CoE) capacities of South East Asia in addressing CBRN risk mitigation concerning CBRN first response, biosafety and biosecurity, awareness raising and legal framework.

This project provides technical assistance under the Financing Agreement between the EU and the Government of the Republic of the Philippines for the "Access to Sustainable Energy Programme (ASEP)".

On 25 June 2018, the Council decided to put 11 individuals holding official positions under restrictive measures. The persons listed are responsible for human rights violations and for undermining democracy and the rule of law in Venezuela. The measures include a travel ban and an asset freeze.

On 25 June, the Council placed 7 individuals under restrictive measures in light of the situation in Myanmar/Burma. These sanctions consist of an asset freeze and a travel ban.

On 25 June the EU Delegation jointly organised with the Permanent Mission of Ireland, the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) and UN Women a discussion on challenges faced by civil society organisations, with participation also from OHCHR and the International Service for Human Rights.
