Today marks the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOT). The day represents an annual landmark to draw the attention of decision makers, the media, the public, opinion leaders and local authorities to the alarming situation faced by Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) people and all those who do not conform to majority sexual and gender norms. It is also an opportunity to recognise the bravery of IDAHOT activists and allies around the world.

Good afternoon. We had the International Syria Support Group meeting today. US Secretary J. Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister S. Lavrov, together with Staffan de Mistura are also debriefing some of your colleagues

Out of the Group's meeting today came a very strong call to all parties in Syria to come back to the table of negotiations for talks in Geneva in order to to enter into the work on the transition. This, I would say, is the main political outcome of the meeting.
