It was a day of fun and self-expression for the more than 600 pupils who gathered at House on Fire in Malkerns on 24 May 2017 to participate in the 2017 EU-MTN Bushfire primary schools festival supported by the European Union in Swaziland.

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania-29, May-2017: The Delegation of the European Union to the United Republic of Tanzania and the East African Community, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the French Embassy, the Alliance Française as well as the British Council, has today launched the European Youth Film Competition. Young and aspiring Tanzanian video producers (between 18 to 35 years) are invited to compete for the prize of the best short film around the topic: “The Growing Population: a development challenge or an opportunity?” The winning film will win prizes worth Tshs7 million, while the first runner-up will win prizes worth Tshs5million and the second runner-up will win prizes worth Tshs3 million.
The European Union and India have recognised the importance of clean energy, sustainable development and climate-related initiatives for several years. Most recently, at the EU-India Summit in Brussels on March 30, 2016, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, European Council President Donald Tusk and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi reinforced cooperation in these fields with a series of dynamic measures.

Le Projet d’Appui à la Résilience Socioéconomique des jeunes vulnérables (PARSE) dans le Septentrion vient d'être lancé, à travers trois fora de dialogue dans les régions de l'Extrême-Nord, du Nord et de l'Adamaoua. Cofinancé par le Trust Fund/Fonds Fiduciaire d'urgence pour l'Afrique de l'Union européenne, ce projet veut encourager l'entreprenariat et le leadership des jeunes, afin de faciliter leur implication dans les processus de développement et de promotion de la paix.
