"Today the European Commission has published the latest figures on EU imports of soybeans, showing an increase of 283% in imports of soybeans from the U.S., bringing the EU's total share of imports of U.S. soybeans to 37%, up from 9% one year ago.
President Juncker has now put in place a bi-monthly reporting mechanism on the evolution of trade in soybeans from the U.S. to the EU. This is the first concrete follow-up to the EU-U.S. Joint Statement agreed in Washington between Commission President Juncker and U.S. President Trump.
The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) in cooperation with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) is launching a project aiming at Improving the Governance of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency sector in West Africa. This project, funded by the European Union and the German Co-operation (GIZ), is designed to contribute to the improvement of energy access as well as the promotion renewable energy and energy efficiency in the ECOWAS region and Mauritania through a combination of activities on the regional and on the national level. The launch of the project will take place at CERMI in Praia, Cabo Verde on August 1st, 2018.
O Centro para as Energias Renováveis e Eficiência Energética da CEDEAO (ECREEE) em colaboração com a Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) lançam hoje um projeto destinado a melhorar a governação no setor das Energias Renováveis e da Eficiência Energética na África Ocidental.
O projecto, financiado pela União Europeia, foi concebido para melhorar o acesso à energia, bem como para a promoção das energias renováveis e da eficiência energética na região da CEDEAO e na Mauritânia, através de uma combinação de actividades aos níveis regional e nacional. O lançamento terá lugar no CERMI na Praia, no dia 1 de Agosto de 2018.
