Today, November 24, 2016 ‘Information Day’ of the Erasmus+ Programme has started its work at the Tashkent State University of Economics. The event is jointly organized by the National Erasmus + Office (NEO) in Uzbekistan with the Ministry of Higher and Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Uzbekistan, National Team of Experts and the Tashkent State University of Economics.

Организаторами мероприятия выступили Национальный офис Erasmus+ (NEO) в Узбекистане, Министерство высшего и среднего специального образования в Узбекистане, Делегация Европейского Союза в Республике Узбекистан, команда Национальных экспертов и Ташкентский государственный экономический университет.
The 5th Eastern Partnership Summit took place today in Brussels. The leaders of all 28 Member States - together with Presidents Donald Tusk and Jean-Claude Juncker as well as EU High Representative Federica Mogherini - participated in the Summit with the six Eastern Partnership countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. At the Summit, leaders took stock of progress made since the Riga Summit in 2015, with a focus on the tangible impact the partnership brings to eastern partner citizens.
On October 28-November 1 the EU Special Representative for Human Rights, Stavros Lambrinidis, visited The Gambia with a focus on human rights and EU-Gambia relations. The Special Representative met with the President of The Gambia, H.E Adama Barrow, at the presidential residence in Fajara. The delegation also engaged in high-level bilaterals with The Gambia's Vice President, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Justice, Minister of Interior, Minister of Trade, Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, the Chair of the Inter-party Committee and the Chief Justice as well as members of the National Assembly, and had the opportunity to meet with civil society organisations and NGOs. They also attended the EU-AU Human Rights Dialogue and the Special Representative addressed the 61st session of the African Commission on Human and People's Rights opening session.
