The Sixth Regional Forum of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) gathered Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Euro-Mediterranean region on 29 November 2021 in Barcelona under the Co-Presidency of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the European Union to take stock of progress achieved and to guide further work ahead.

An EU mission visited Khuzdar district of Balochistan during 25-26 November 2021.  Among others, one purpose of the visit was to participate in the one day training on, “Good  Agriculture Practices (GAP) ” organised for framers of the district Khuzdar area.

The EU continues to support partners such as WFP in order to provide life-saving food assistance to the most vulnerable people suffering the effects of climate shocks and the COVID-19 pandemic.

On 15 November, we co-hosted together with the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the EU an event on “Water and International Humanitarian Law”. Speakers from ICRC, Geneva Call, academia and EU headquarters approached the obligation to protect water and water resources during armed conflicts from the perspective of International Humanitarian Law. This event was part of a broader engagement with the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the EU on Water, followed by a higher-level event on ‘water and displacement’ on 6 December.

Марказий Осиёда чегараларни бошқариш бўйича кўмак дастури (БОМКА) шу йилнинг 29 ноябрь - 1 декабрь кунлари минтақага техник миссия уюштирмоқда ва тадбир давомида Европа Иттифоқига аъзо давлатлар ҳамда Ўзбекистон экспертлари ўртасида транзит декларацияси миллий тизимини ишлаб чиқиш доирасида учрашувлар ўтказилади. БОМКАнинг мазкур фаолияти ҳозир амалда бўлган миллий транзит тизимини баҳолаш орқали божхона бошқарувида ёрдам кўрсатишга қаратилган. Бунда TIR карнети (TIR Конвенцияси) асосида халқаро юк ташиш конвенциясининг қоидаларини жорий этиш, маҳаллий қонунчилик ва транзит тартиби бўйича маъмурий йўриқномаларнинг камчиликларини таҳлил қилиш, шунингдек, божхона органларининг фаолиятини янада яхшилаш учун тавсиялар ишлаб чиқаришга диққат қаратилади.

29 ноября – 1 декабря 2021 года программы БОМКА в Центральной Азии организует техническую миссию, в виде встреч экспертов из стран-членов Европейского Союза и экспертов Узбекистана по разработке национальной системы транзитного декларирования. Данная деятельность программы БОМКА направлена на оказание помощи в таможенном администрировании путем оценки, действующей национальной транзитной системы и применения положений Конвенции международной перевозке грузов с применением книжки МДП (Конвенция МДП), анализа недостатков законодательства и соответствующих административных инструкций по режиму транзита, а также разработки рекомендаций для дальнейшего улучшения работы таможенных органов.


Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on November 29 – December 1, 2021 Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA) holds a technical assistance in a form of a meeting on analysis of the current customs legislation in transit area and gathers experts from the EU member states and Uzbek national experts in development of national transit declaration/control system. This project activity aims to assist Customs Administration of Uzbekistan in a form of review of existing national transit systems, application of Transport Internationaux Routier (TIR) Convention, and identification of gaps in legislation and relevant administrative instructions on transit regimes as well as develop recommendations for further improvement.
