In response to severe flooding that submerged large parts of eastern Malaysia, the European Union is providing €60,000 (nearly 300,000 Malaysian ringgit) in humanitarian aid funding to assist the most affected communities.

Dili 18 January 2020 – The European Union (EU) and World Health Organization (WHO) are joining forces to mitigate the health impacts of communicable diseases – particularly of COVID-19 – and to contribute to building strong, effective and resilient health systems in Timor-Leste.

A regional art competition is now open which aims at involving young people in Fiji and the Pacific in a regional conservation on the issues that underlie gender-based violence, such as respect, value and recognition of women.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) delivered a two-day training (14-15 January) in Suva on understanding trafficking of human beings to officers from various government Ministries who are members of the National Human Trafficking Working Group.
