On the occasion of celebrating the 40th anniversary of the EU-China diplomatic relations, the 2nd GRAIN2 Open Workshop and Mid-term Review 'Greening Aviation – A Global Challenge' was successfully held in Xi`an City, China, from 5 to 8 May 2015. GRAIN 2, Greener Aeronautics International Networking – 2, is a project jointly supported by the EU's 7th Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP7) and China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
This week the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini paid her first official visit to Asia. She travelled to the Republic of Korea and the People's Republic of China with the aim of strengthening ties with two of the EU's strategic partners in the region.
