On 20 June, Ethiopia held its consultative Talanoa climate dialogue with government, civil society and private sector stakeholders. The Eurooean Union ambassadors pledged to continue supporting Ethiopian Green Economy strategy. At the invitation of the Member of China’s Central Military Commission (CMC) and Chief of Staff of the Joint Staff Department under the CMC, General Li Zuocheng, the Chairman of the European Union Military Committee (CEUMC), General Mikhail Kostarakos, paid an official visit to China, from 15th to 20th June 2018.

The official meeting with General Li Zuocheng, on the first day of the visit, was a valuable opportunity for the high-ranking EU military official to share views on issues of mutual interest.

The Commission has released €34 million in humanitarian assistance for the most vulnerable populations in Uganda and Kenya, with a special focus on displaced populations in both countries.

2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage

Cultural heritage has a universal value for us as individuals, communities and societies. It is part of us, even if we are not aware.  It is important to preserve and pass on to future generations.

You may think of heritage as being ‘from the past’ or static, but it actually evolves though our engagement with it.  We can create heritage and contribute to its growth.

The sector reform contract intends to support the national development vision of a high quality of life for communities in harmony with Cook Islands culture and environment as outlined in Te Kaveinga Nui and to assist Government in implementing its Sanitation Reform Program.
