The twelfth session of the Association Council of the European Union and Jordan took place in Brussels on 10 June 2017. The session was co-chaired by Federica MOGHERINI, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy / Vice-President of the Commission, and by Ayman SAFADI, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan.
The Ministry of Development Strategies and International Trade and the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) will conduct a 2nd consultation for Sri Lanka’s National Export Strategy (NES). More than 300 public and private sector representatives are expected to attend in order to chart the next export growth cycle of the country. The development of this strategy is a central component of the “EU – Sri Lanka Trade-Related Assistance: Increasing SMEs’ trade competitiveness in regional and EU markets” project, implemented by the International Trade Centre and funded by the European Union.
During the month of May, as part of Europe Day celebrations, over 200 young Jordanians in Irbid and Sahab, aged 12 to 16, took part in design workshops with the aim to illustrate the historical, artistic and cultural bridges between Jordan and Europe.
