A new call for Radical improvement of road safety in low and medium income countries in Africa has been published. The deadline for submissions is 19 October 2021 17:00:00 Brussels time.

Using their daily commute to defy societal norms and express their right to freedom, a group of Egyptian women has triggered the wheel of change in their communities, as part of the nationwide online campaign “Better by Bike”. Launched by the “Tabdeel” initiative (which means both “Pedaling” and “Change” in Arabic), the campaign has brought together like-minded women seeking to challenge the preconceptions about women biking and promote their love for urban cycling.

With almost half of Georgians involved in agriculture, any improvements in farming will have a big impact. Since 2019, the EU and FAO have been working together under the third phase of the ENPARD programme to bring modern and environmentally friendly agriculture techniques to Georgia by arranging demonstration plots and farmer extension services.
