The European Commission presents its first progress Report on implementing the Partnership Frameworks with third countries: the EU's new approach to more effectively managing migration jointly with countries of origin and transit is starting to yield results.

“The Leadership Forum comes at a crucial point in the EU-Australia relationship, with a Framework Agreement set to be signed at the earliest opportunity and the possibility of free trade negotiations starting next year,” Ambassador Fabrizi said. "The EU and Australia are close and likeminded partners, already benefitting from high levels of cooperation and committed to promoting prosperity and security together in a rules-based international system."

On Tuesday, 18 October 2016 , a Conference and promotion of eight EU funded projects on inter-community relations took place as part of the EU Delegation support to stakeholders for improvement of the inter-ethnic relations in the country.
