EU-funded project conducts a training to improve psychologists’ skills in psychological assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation of torture survivors and/or members of their families.

After more than 5 years of living in temporary housing, the community of Tukuraki in the highlands of Fiji are today celebrating as they move into their newly built, disaster resilient village. The Tukuraki community was devastated in 2012 as a landslide buried 80% of their village and tragically took the lives of a young family including a toddler and young baby.

At the National Agricultural Research Institute (NARI) Headquarters, outside Lae over 40 representatives from 20 districts of 11 lowlands provinces met at an inception workshop on October 25-26. The purpose of their meeting; to put into perspective issues to be addressed in preparation to implement a project on strengthening food production and the resilience of vulnerable communities to drought in the country.
