On 30 November and 1 December 2015, the European Union and the People's Republic of China held the 34th round of the EU-China Dialogue on Human Rights in Beijing. The delegation of the European Union was led by Mr Ugo Astuto, Acting Managing Director for Asia and the Pacific in the European External Action Service. The Chinese delegation was led by Mr Li Junhua, Director-General for International Organisations and Conferences, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.


Le 30 novembre et le 1er décembre 2015, l’Union européenne et la République populaire de Chine ont tenu la 34e session du dialogue UE-Chine sur les droits de l’homme à Pékin. La délégation de l’Union européenne était dirigée par M. Ugo Astuto, directeur exécutif faisant fonction pour l’Asie et le Pacifique au Service européen pour l’action extérieure. La délégation chinoise était quant à elle conduite par M. Li Junhua, directeur général chargé des organisations et conférences internationales au sein du ministère des affaires étrangères de la République populaire de Chine.


On 2 December 2015 the EU signed a short-stay visa waiver agreement with Colombia, at a ceremony in Brussels. The signature took place in the presence of the Colombian President, Juan Manuel Santos, and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini.

The High Representative attended the NATO Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Brussels on Wednesday, December 2. After the meeting the High Representative talked to the press together with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

Celebrations of 40 years of diplomatic relations between the European Union and China.

Federica Mogherini, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, had today a bilateral meeting with the US Secretary of State, John Kerry, at the margins of the NATO Ministerial Meeting in Brussels, to exchange views on the situation in Syria and Libya, on the Middle East Peace Process.
