The SWITCH Africa Green programme started in 2014. Its global objective is to support the transformation towards an inclusive green economy which generates growth, creates jobs, and reduces poverty. Its specific objective is the adoption of Sustainable Consumption and Production practices in 7 African countries: Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, South Africa and Uganda.

New call for proposals of SWITCH Africa Green

The European Union and the Government of Swaziland met today (14 February 2017) to review the performance of their cooperation in 2016 and to agree on the key priorities for 2017 and beyond. The meeting was held at the Royal Villas in Ezulwini.

The exchanges and the programmes that the EU funds bring people closer together and they also build cultural bridges that can encourage empathy and understanding in a world that is –and will continue to be- increasingly interconnected.

La Comisión Europea ha anunciado hoy la convocatoria del Premio de Periodismo Lorenzo Natali de 2017, en reconocimiento de un periodismo de calidad excepcional sobre el desarrollo y la erradicación de la pobreza. El Premio está abierto a los periodistas profesionales y aficionados, profesionales de la radiodifusión y blogueros.

The event aimed at raising awareness of EU-funded initiatives and their direct impact on the beneficiaries, and at providing the youth and civil society with a platform to network and exchange ideas.
