Cabo Verde and the EU have enjoyed a close and very constructive relationship for more than 35 years, based first of all on significant and continuing development cooperation.
Today, Cabo Verde and the EU also share a strong commitment to the common values of democracy, respect for human rights and the rule of law, and promote and defend these in many international fora.
The very successful evolution of the relationship in these various areas led to the creation of the EU-Cabo Verde Special Partnership in 2007.

The EU is active in a wide range of topics, from human rights to transport and trade. A list of topics which summarise what the EU does in a specific area, useful links to relevant bodies, laws and documents.

Relations between the European Union (EU) and Cameroon go back several decades. The first agreement between the EEC (European Economic Community) and the 18 States making up the AASM (Associated African States and Madagascar) was signed in Yaoundé in 1963.


Acteur majeur sur le plan politique et du développement, l'Union européenne est également le premier partenaire commercial du Cameroun. Les relations entre l'Union européenne (UE) et le Cameroun remontent à plusieurs décennies. L'année 2017 marque le 60e anniversaire de la signature du Traité de Rome qui établit le marché commun européen et instaure la politique de coopération avec les futurs pays Afrique-Caraïbe-Pacifique (ACP).


Les projets de partenariat avec l’UE visent à aider le Cameroun à développer son potentiel économique. Ils couvrent plusieurs secteurs tels que la bonne gouvernance et les réformes économiques et institutionnelles, le commerce et l’intégration régionale ainsi que les infrastructures, communications et transports.
