As announced after the last E3/EU+3 meeting on 24 November in Vienna, the Political Directors of the E3/EU+3 and Iran will meet again on 17 December 2014 in Geneva for a one-day meeting to continue diplomatic efforts towards reaching a long-term, comprehensive solution. 

[Please note that no press activities are foreseen during the meeting in Geneva.]

Comme annoncé à l'issue de la dernière réunion du groupe E3/UE+3 qui s'est tenue à Vienne le 24 novembre, les directeurs politiques du groupe et l'Iran se rencontreront à nouveau le 17 décembre 2014, à Genève, pour une session d'une journée au cours de laquelle ils poursuivront leurs efforts diplomatiques en vue de trouver une solution globale et pérenne.

On 11 December 2014, the European Union and Armenia held the sixth round of human rights dialogue in Brussels.

The Armenian delegation was headed by Garen Nazarian, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and included among other officials, the Deputy Minister of Justice Mr. Arman Tatoyan.

The EU Delegation was headed by Mr. Silvio Gonzato, Director, EEAS, Human Rights and Democracy, European External Action Service and Mrs. Elisabeth Tison, Head of Division.

La sixième réunion du dialogue sur les droits de l'homme entre l'Union européenne et l'Arménie s'est tenue à Bruxelles le 11 décembre 2014.

La délégation arménienne était dirigée par M. Karen Nazarian,  ministre adjoint des affaires étrangères et comptait dans ses rangs M. Arman Tatoyan, ministre adjoint de la justice.

La délégation de l'UE était dirigée par M. Silvio Gonzato,  directeur chargé des droits de l’homme et de la démocratie au sein du Service européen pour l'action extérieure et par Mme Elisabeth Tison, chef de division.

The EU's relationship with Sri Lanka is founded on the Cooperation Agreement of 1995, which provides that "Cooperation ties between the Community and Sri Lanka and this Agreement in its entirety are based on respect for democratic principles and human rights" and which aims "to enhance and develop, through dialogue and partnership, the various aspects of cooperation between the Contracting Parties".

David Schwendiman from the United States has been nominated as the new Lead Prosecutor for the Special Investigative Task Force (SITF). The SITF was established by the European Union in 2011 as an independent criminal investigation into the serious allegations contained in the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly report of January 2011 by Senator Dick Marty entitled: “Inhuman treatment of people and illicit trafficking in human organs in Kosovo”.

L'Américain David Schwendiman a été nommé nouveau procureur principal de l'équipe spéciale d’enquête (Special Investigative Task Force, SITF). La SITF a été créée par l'Union européenne en 2011 afin qu'une enquête pénale indépendante examine les graves allégations contenues dans le rapport de l'assemblée parlementaire du Conseil de l'Europe de janvier 2011 du sénateur Dick Marty intitulé «Le traitement inhumain de personnes et le trafic illicite d'organes humains au Kosovo».
