Upon invitation of the High Representative/Vice-President, Federica Mogherini, an informal meeting of the European Union's Foreign Ministers will take place in Brussels on Sunday evening, 13 November 2016.

Aujourd'hui, en ce jour du souvenir, nous nous associons aux Canadiens d'un océan à l'autre pour rendre hommage à la mémoire des vétérans. L'Europe sera toujours reconnaissante à tous ceux qui ont donné leur vie pour notre défendre la liberté et la paix.


Today, on Remembrance Day, we join Canadians from coast to coast to honour the memory of war veterans. Europe remains forever grateful to all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and peace.


The European Union Delegation, the Heads of Mission of EU Member States and the Heads of Mission of Norway and Switzerland issue the following statement in Japan:








On November 10 2016, a small group of youth from different sectors met in the EU Delegation to the African Union in Addis Ababa. The meeting was aimed at finding out what role the youth should play to form the focus and the agenda of the coming EU-Africa Summit of 2017.

The Youth; coming from the creative art, journalism, social media, university students, the AU and EU institutions  raised pertinent issues and ways to address their messages to the policy and decision making bodies.

His Excellency Mr. Xavier Bettel, Prime Minister of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg, will speak on Tuesday, November 15th from 4-5:30 pm on the subject of “Political Leadership in the Digital Age” as part of the Presidential Distinguished Lecturer Series that takes place at the Singapore Management University.

This is an excellent opportunity to hear a European Prime Minister talk about the challenges of political leadership and engagement in the current digital era.
