Morocco and the European Union have a broad-based and strong partnership anchored within the framework of the country's Advanced Status.
The EU has taken note of the judgment of the General Court of the European Union regarding the Council's Decision on the agriculture agreement between the EU and Morocco.
The European Institutions are closely examining this judgment in order to determine the various options, in particular regarding preparatory work for an appeal.

The attacks on military bases have escalated the spiral of violence and repression that has hit Burundi in recent months. These unacceptable acts are an additional destabilising factor and primarily affect Burundian citizens.
The European Union regrets the fresh loss of life caused by the attacks.

Let me start by saying that this first ever Stabilisation and Association Council between the European Union and Bosnia and Herzegovina was going to be in itself a positive thing for this very same fact - that it takes place. But let me also say sincerely that this was a very positive meeting also in substance. An extremely good one that allows us to not only be satisfied with the work done over this year, but also to look forward to the next steps of this common work.

Journalist Christmas Party

On 11th December, the Delegation held the annual Christmas Party for journalists. Over 200 Chinese and foreign journalists attended. The event is very much appreciated by journalists and allows us to also make new contacts.

Building up on the success of previous editions, more than 1,500 people packed the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica in Ottawa on 11 December to hear a unique selection of European Christmas carols, beautifully performed by the Cantiamo Girls Choir of Ottawa, La Chorale De La Salle, and the Calixa Lavallée Ensemble.
