On 14−17 November 2016 the European External Action Service (EEAS) together with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden, and the Folke Bernadotte Academy organized the Field Visit for the Eastern partners to the EU Advisory Mission in Ukraine (EUAM). The field visit to a civilian Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) mission was a follow-up to the two previous events conducted by EEAS together with Poland and Sweden: the Field Visit to the European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia (2−4 December 2014) and the Workshop on the Civilian Capabilities of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries for CSDP Missions (17 February 2015). The event in Ukraine was held in the framework of the Panel on cooperation in the area of CSDP within the EaP Platform on Democracy, Good Governance and Stability, and was co-funded by the European Union.
ZAMBIA AND COOPERATING PARTNERS SIGN A DECLARATION OF INTENT ON ENHANCED COOPERATION ON ENERGY
On 16 November 2016, in the framework of the UN twenty-second climate Conference of the Parties (COP22) in Marrakech, Minister of Energy David Mabumba, signed a Declaration of Intent on enhanced cooperation with 10 Cooperating Partners supporting the energy sector in Zambia. The signing ceremony took place as part of a high-level event of the Africa Renewable Energy Initiative (AREI), a joint undertaking of the African Union and European Union.
