The Joint Commission of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the Iran nuclear deal, will resume its work in a physical format tomorrow on Thursday 15 April at 12.30 CET in Vienna.

The Joint Commission will be chaired on behalf of EU High Representative Josep Borrell by the Deputy Secretary General/Political Director of the European External Action Service, Enrique Mora. It will be attended by representatives of China, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom and Iran.

Around the globe, conflict, insecurity, weak institutions and limited access to justice remain great threats to sustainable development, especially for indigenous peoples.


El nuevo Embajador de la Unión Europea en México, Gautier Mignot, asumió hoy oficialmente funciones tras presentar las copias de sus cartas credenciales a la Directora General de Protocolo de la Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores (SRE), Martha Susana Peón Sánchez, en una ceremonia virtual en la que también estuvo presente el Director General para Europa de la SRE, Bernardo Aguilar.

The Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Zambia and COMESA is currently undertaking a mapping exercise to ascertain the presence in Zambia of business enterprises originating from EU Member States, to better assess their socio-economic contributions. The generated data/information will be used to illustrate the relevance of EU private sector investment in Zambia and underpin trade relationship between Zambia and the EU. This will allow us to better engage the Government of Zambia on issues related to the improvements of the investment climate and the business-enabling environment.

The EU Ambassador, and European Heads of Missions present in Zambia, witnessed the arrival of the first Covid-19 vaccines through COVAX facility and takes part in a national Covid-19 vaccination campaign, with a symbolic inoculation of high level dignitaries.
