The EU has today announced the deployment of a European Diplomatic Watch, which will send over 70  teams to visit over 1,000 polling stations in Georgia during the parliamentary elections this Saturday, 31 October.

On the 20th anniversary of the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security, we celebrate a turning point in the way the international community has approached peace and security and, more specifically, the impact of conflict on women and girls. Their unique experiences are crucial in peace-building and peacekeeping processes. There is no real peace and security without them.

En el vigésimo aniversario de la Resolución 1325 del Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU sobre Mujeres, Paz y Seguridad, celebramos un punto de inflexión en la forma en que la comunidad internacional ha abordado la paz y la seguridad y, más específicamente, el impacto del conflicto en las mujeres y las niñas. Sus experiencias únicas son cruciales en los procesos de consolidación y mantenimiento de la paz. No hay paz y seguridad reales sin ellos.
